Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop an edge water drive reservoir and a bottom water drive reservoir, which will be used to carry out a comparative study of their productivity. The aim is to determine which one is more suitable in terms of productivity, and this was achieved by developing a model using the source function and Newman product rule. Numerical methods were employed to compute dimensionless pressure and dimensionless pressure derivatives. Correlation coefficients were determined to assess any correlations between the models. The results indicate the presence of a correlation, and R-squared (R2) values were determined to identify which one has higher productivity. The findings suggest that the bottom water drive reservoir is more suitable in terms of productivity.
